Senior GitLab Platform Engineer

• IT - IT Infrastructure & Operations • IT - Software Engineering • Zürich • Contracting • Full-time • 01.09.2026 - 31.12.2027 • CI/CD, GitHub Your tasks: • Operation, maintenance and continuous further development of a GitLab Self-Managed platform for CI/CD, Source Control and Collaboration • Construction, standardization and optimization of CI/CD pipelines as well as reusable pipeline templates • Administration and optimization of GitLab CI/CD, Runners and platform configurations • Integration and operation of developer tooling such as Container Registries, Artifact Management, Code Quality and Security Scanning • Automation of provisioning, upgrades and configurations using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD • Ensuring high availability, performance, stability and security of the platform • Consulting and supporting development teams in the optimization of their CI/CD workflows • Definition and implementation of suitable operating models for monitoring, alerting, backup and disaster recovery • Close cooperation with Kubernetes, OpenShift and other platform teams Your profile: • Completed education or further training in computer science at EFZ, HF, FH, university level or a comparable qualification • Several years of sound experience with GitLab Self-Managed including administration, GitLab CI/CD, Runner management and configuration • Very good knowledge of CI/CD, pipeline design and automation • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes as well as their integration into CI/CD workflows • Good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management with technologies such as Ansible, Terraform and Helm • Sound Linux and system engineering knowledge • Ideally experience with GitLab Geo, GitLab Pages or the GitLab Kubernetes Agent • Knowledge of security scanning, for example SAST, DAST, dependency or container scanning, is an advantage • Experience with artifact management solutions such as Harbor, Nexus or Artifactory is an advantage • Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, log management as well as GitOps solutions such as ArgoCD is an advantage • Independent and pragmatic way of working with strong ownership as well as the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with existing platforms • Enjoyment of working with development teams and willingness to undertake on-call duties • Good German and English skills, at least at level B2
