Apprenticeship positions for computer scientists in the field of application development are available, for example, at the Gebäudeversicherung, in the Amt für Informatik, as well as at the Mittelschul- und Berufsbildungsamt. A 24/7 available ICT infrastructure is indispensable in today's working world. The internal IT departments with their employees and apprentices ensure its smooth operation.

The apprenticeship ###

In the four-year apprenticeship as a Computer Scientist EFZ Application Development / Computer Scientist EFZ Application Development, you will learn to plan, develop, test, and further develop modern software applications. Your training begins with a basic apprenticeship year in which you acquire the most important technical fundamentals. Afterwards, you will work with various programming languages, tools, and modern technologies.

You develop software according to agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban and implement innovative ICT solutions together with customers and project teams. In doing so, you deal with topics such as software architecture, databases, interfaces, and user interfaces. Quality, security, as well as the protection of information and data play a central role.

The requirements ###

You attend Sekundarschule A and achieve good results, especially in mathematics, German, and English. You are interested in computer science and technical connections and possess strong analytical and logical-abstract thinking skills. In addition, you are characterized by a quick grasp, teamwork skills, and enjoyment in dealing with people.
