With us in the IT department of Zürcher Kantonalbank, you will develop the technology of tomorrow together with around 1'000 colleagues - in the heart of Zürich. In the area of Application Integration, you ensure that applications in the ZKB communicate smoothly with each other. With our event streaming platform, we are responsible for the new backbone for the asynchronous communication of the entire bank. For this, we are looking for a committed personality with sound knowledge in software development with Spring Boot as well as in Kubernetes. Ideally, you bring experience with Kafka and the event streaming world, think analytically, act proactively, and like to think outside the box.

Your Tasks

• Further development of the event streaming platform based on Confluent Kafka
• Developing and maintaining integration solutions with Spring Boot
• Onboarding and advising the DevOps teams in the area of event streaming
• Ensuring stable operation of the central Kafka platform in the sense of the DevOps philosophy
• Participating in the entire lifecycle from the idea through specification and story development to implementation, testing, and operation according to the principle "You build it, you run it"

Your Profile

• Completed education in the field of computer science (FH level) or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the development of modern (web) applications
• Good knowledge of Spring Boot as well as in the operation of solutions on Kubernetes
• Knowledge in the event streaming area, ideally with Apache Kafka or Confluent Kafka
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably with Azure, is a plus
• You convince through quick comprehension, high willingness to learn, and quality awareness
• You score with teamwork, sense of responsibility, and a solution-oriented approach
• Very good German and good English skills in speaking and writing
