Statistik Stadt Zürich is looking for an engaged and motivated personality as a maternity cover, fixed-term until 30 June 2027, to complement the "Projekte" team as of 1 September 2026 or by arrangement. Tasks ## • You develop new solutions in the area of databases and specialist applications - mainly in Python, and if required, also in other languages (e.g. SAS). • You integrate new elements into existing system architectures and maintain as well as expand existing solutions. • You collect requirements, prepare technical specifications, define interfaces, and develop new elements for existing systems. • You implement requirements from the areas of data management and Data Science and take over work packages within the framework of projects and ventures. • You undertake diverse tasks in different project phases and contribute actively to the successful implementation of projects. Profile ## • Completed university degree or equivalent professional experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. You enjoy complex technical tasks and work independently as well as solution-oriented in an agile team. • Very good practical knowledge in Python; knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. SAS) is a plus. Experience with Scrum and agile working in the development environment as well as daily use of Git are required. Knowledge in database development and specialist application development is desired. • Good knowledge in the areas of system integration, interface definition, and software development. Experience with data management and Data Science projects is an advantage. • Joy and willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with new technical topics, to acquire knowledge within the team, to maintain good exchange, and to develop pragmatically implementable solutions. • Very good oral and written communication and expression in German.
