The team focuses on transforming scan data collected by drones into high-quality, actionable inventory insights (e.g., stock counts, discrepancy detection, trend analysis, recommendations) through a combination of computer vision, machine learning, AI, edge and cloud computing, as well as intuitive, data-rich frontend experiences. As a Technical Lead, you will guide and mentor a multidisciplinary group of talented engineers tackling complex challenges with innovative and efficient solutions. What you will do • Collaborate with a product manager to lead a cross-functional team in delivering end-to-end solutions for inventory insight generation, from edge data collection to customer-facing analytics. • Manage, coach, and empower a high-performing team to ensure consistent, sustainable, and high-quality delivery. • Stay close to customers and the problems they face, spending time on-site and on calls to understand their needs, and translating ambiguous operational needs into technically approachable and truly useful problems to solve. • Actively contribute hands-on to technical work, including designing and developing solutions that transform raw inventory data into actionable intelligence. • Be responsible for the architecture and technical roadmap of your components, ensuring seamless integration with the platform, infrastructure, and other hardware and software engineering teams at Verity. • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and technical excellence, while leading by example by embodying and evolving our company culture. Your experience • Over 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams for the successful delivery of complex software products as a service, with a strong artificial intelligence and machine learning component. Ideally with prior exposure to the logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain domains. • Strong hands-on experience in the disciplines and technologies relevant to the role, with practical mastery of some of the following: Python, C++, TypeScript, React, and AWS. • Proven experience in team management, with a passion for mentoring, talent development, and promoting a collaborative team environment. • Deep understanding of agile practices and modern product development, with practical experience in adopting modern technologies, such as AI tools, to improve the development cycle. • Strong product orientation, with the ability to get close to customer needs, define problem scope in terms of feasibility and impact, and ensure that what you deliver measurably improves operations rather than just hitting benchmarks. • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English, both written and spoken, capable of bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
